01

Replace the document drop

A late handover concentrates risk at release time. Operational requirements should shape the product backlog from the start, and readiness evidence should accumulate throughout delivery.

The handover is a decision supported by evidence—not the movement of documents. Name the service owner accountable for release and the operations role accountable for accepting the run obligation.

02

Define evidence that can be tested

Typical evidence includes support ownership, SLOs, observability, recovery tests, control evidence, capacity assumptions, known risks and escalation contacts. Acceptance criteria should be testable and proportionate to service criticality.

03

Keep a feedback loop

Operational findings must return to the platform roadmap and improvement backlog. Without that feedback, the same readiness weaknesses repeat across releases.
